ज़िन्दगी हर पल कुछ
खास नहीं होती,
फूलों की खुशबू हमेशा
पास नहीं होती,
मिलना हमारी तक़दीर
में था वरना,
इतनी प्यारी दोस्ती
इत्तेफाक नहीं होती।
तुम दोस्त बनके
ऐसे आए ज़िन्दगी में,
कि हम ये जमाना
ही भूल गये,
तुम्हें याद आए न आए
हमारी कभी,
पर हम तो तुम्हें
भुलाना ही भूल गये।
ज़िन्दगी के तूफानों का
साहिल है दोस्ती,
दिल के अरमानों की
मंज़िल है दोस्ती,
ज़िन्दगी भी बन जाएगी
अपनी तो जन्नत,
अगर मौत आने तक
साथ दे दोस्ती।
साथ रहते यूँ ही
वक़्त गुजर जायेगा,
दूर होने के बाद
कौन किसे याद आयेगा,
जी लो ये पल
जब तक साथ है दोस्तों,
कल क्या पता वक़्त
कहाँ ले के जायेगा।
तन्हाई सी थी
दुनिया की भीड़ में,
सोचा कोई अपना
नहीं तकदीर में,
एक दिन जब दोस्ती
की आप से तो यूँ लगा,
कुछ ख़ास था
मेरे हाथ की लकीर में।
रिश्तों से बड़ी चाहत
और क्या होगी,
दोस्ती से बड़ी इबादत
और क्या होगी,
जिसे दोस्त मिल सके
कोई आप जैसा,
उसे ज़िन्दगी से कोई और
शिकायत क्या होगी।
Friendship is not something
you learn in school.
But if you haven't learned
the meaning of friendship,
you really haven't
learned anything.
Friendship is certainly
the finest balm for the
pangs of disappointed love
No distance of place or
lapse of time can lessen
the friendship of those
who are thoroughly
persuaded of each
other's worth.
Friendship at first sight
like love at first sight
is said to be

એ દોસ્ત મને તારી દોસ્તી પર ગર્વ છે,
દરેક પલ તને યાદ કરું છુ,
મને ખબર નથી, પણ ઘરવાળા કહે છે કે,
હું ઊંઘ માં પણ તારી સાથે વાત કરું છુ.
Friendship is the source
of the greatest pleasures,
and without friends even
the most agreeable pursuits
become tedious.
All I required to be
happy was friendship
and people I could admire
Let there be no purpose
